Student Work: Typography
Graphic Design uses certain building blocks to create fantastic visuals. One of the most important aspects is Typography. I facilitate projects that help students explore first the individual personalities of each character & symbol, and lead them through to find the beauty in columns of text on a page.
Building your own typeface is difficult at best. Here, Em created a unique typeface based on chair aesthetics.
Type specimens help students explore a typeface, it's history, and it's future.
Type made from found materials, each created by a different student, then compiled to express a typography quote.
